A scathing indictment of Christian morality.

I am often perplexed, and bewildered by how Christians can claim morality when they believe in hell. I can’t fathom sending anyone to a torturous place where they would be tormented for all of eternity. When a Christian says they believe in a hell and that those who don’t worship their God will be there, I find myself sickened.how can you ever claim to love anyone, if you believe that there is such a place and you are willing to let them go there?

It would be below my morality and beyond the scope of my reasoning to delight in such proclaimed heavenly pleasures that religion believes you will, while knowing even one of my loved ones, friends, or acquaintances was being tortured endlessly. I would rebel against an immoral eternal dictator who could mercilessly demand that such acts be done.

Many people cite free will as a premise for why they can use cognitive dissonance to say that the prescribed torture be allowed. As if any crime as simple as refusing to beg for mercy from a divine dictator should be punished for an unending period. This type of mid evil thinking is why Christians can not be considered moral. There is no morality in taking selfish pleasure while ignoring the suffering of millions of others, that is sadistic and sick.

I would literally try to overthrow God, himself, without a second thought. I would rather join the suffering in such a hell than be forced to exist with a genocidal, homocidal, maniac who bathes in the glory of torture. One that I s so petty and demanding that for all of endless time he can bask in the glory of being praised for devising such forms of punishment for creations that had no say in their eventual birth, life, and death. 

From birth you are deemed guilty, sick, and if you are a male dirty, and you must redeem yourself in the eyes of the omnipresent dictator. You are commanded to be made clean, to restore yourself from the fallen grace by the act of emerging from a vaginal canal, for the crime of first breath, and the evil of not knowing the dictator. You are burdened to appeal to this sufferable tyrant every day for salvation from your own humanity. In some religions you must beg five times a day, because he must constantly hear you appeals that you loathe your own humanity, and beg for an escape.

The mere thought of this sickens me. The idea that by being human you will never be good enough, and that at the termination of your days in this body you will either live in a proclaimed glorious place, of face endless cruelty at the hands of crazed maniacs messenger. That people would chose to ignore this so that they can delight in the presence of such a being is twisted, and sick, and perverse, and deplorable. To say you can allow this for eternity and never once have the conscious of mind to regret your own good fortune and look to the suffering, and demand an end to such atrocities, speaks volumes of the lack of humanity, feeling, and caring among Christians. 

In fact, I believe that to be religious is to lack a lot of morality, with few exceptions, very few. You must believe that a hell exists in any of the abrihamic religions, and that torture is a just punishment, and that you, and everyone you love are guilty of horrific crimes by birth, and guilty of thought crime. You are so dirty and vile that your very existence is a test of overcoming the filty nature of being human.  You must agree with your divine figure that it has all power to command anything be done to you and you must not only accept the punishment, but beg to overcome it, and then thank the vile torturer for alleviating the punishment that it put on you.

I find this a disgusting practice, worth of repulsion at best. It is indignant, and twisted. No one who is a good moral person could, for one second, agree with such demands. Nor should anyone. It would be far better to be obliterated than to praise such a monster, a corrupt, twisted, juvenile monster that makes such terrible demands. There is no morality in torture, there is no justification for such practices, and anyone who can justify them is as sadistic as their divine leader. Christians can not claim morality from the bible they can only claim to have biblical morality, which is a sick form of immoral behaviors.

Their God demands an eye for an eye, slavery, rape victims be sold to their rapist, commands them not to kill and then forces them to kill in his name,he orders them to beg on bended knee for their lives as slaves to a master. He demands that they mutilate their children, and stone their neighbors, and kill witches. If any of this sounds moral to you, then you are a sick individual.

So you’re a devil worshiping, baby eating, heathen, bacon loving Atheist. Now what?

Welcome to the world of the least trusted, sit down and I’ll pour you a glass of satan’s brew. Your life just took a turn for the amazingly horrifying, and you should be prepared to fight, or run like hell. Most of your battles will be mentally, so you should stock up on Tylenol and products like that. You should also read a lot of science, and religious texts. Once you are done, come back here pale and sweating, with wide horrified eyes at what people really believe happened on this planet for you to get here. You’ll need something for the upset stomach, and should probably contact a secular therapist.

Most Christians, Jews,  and Muslims  will swear that you worship the devil, even after you tell them, like a thousand times, that you don’t believe he exists. They think that’s just him manipulating you with a Spock like mind meld. Even when you explain that you have read the evidence, found the contradictions in their holy texts and found glaring moral flaws with their religious characters they will still say it’s true. If you find yourself stuck in this loop, please go outside and start and argument with a tree, it’s likely to have a better outcome.

Next, you’ll want to know that you now have no morals. Congratulations, apparently without someone watching your every move, and crushing you with their divine hand, you won’t know how to be a good person, even if atheists have committed the least amounts of tragedies on the planet, it doesn’t matter. Basically religious morality is determined by which ever version of the book the person follows and the eternal fear that one misstep from that book will have a raging and vengeful stalker reigning down horrors upon you. Sure, you could say you base your morality on humanism, or things like observations of outcomes, but it doesn’t matter, if you’re not willing to commit acts of genocide or homicide for your divine schizophrenic you’re not moral.

Have you eaten a baby? If not, you are going to need to stock up on BBQ sauce, and hang out at your local abortion clinic waiting for the fresh daily to come out, or at least that is what Christians believe. You might never get a nice chew on a fetus, but you will be accused of every horror on the planet, like somehow by being in the room with theist children you will try to de-convert them with knowledge. Which will make everyone you know uncomfortable being around their children. Even if some organized religion has numbers of pedophiles which is more disgusting than a good old de-conversion.

You are now undateble, so plan on loneliness being your best friend, or try really hard to find another atheist, and if you are married and they are a theist, you should probably prepare for a divorce, unless they are very sensible. People are so uncomfortable with atheists, especially outspoken and direct atheists. They are often intimidated by them, and let me just say their god will come before you , and that is scary. Not only do you not come first, but you come second to their imagination. If that doesn’t scare you, I don’t know what will.

Do you love bacon? If not, that’s fine, but to ward off the more religious people and to help save your sanity, you may want to stock up on cart loads of it. It seems to have a repellant effect on them, and it can’t be considered offensive enough to get social outrage.

Basically being an atheist means you are a social outcast, or pariah. Unless you hang out with your own, and then you are part of a group of social outcasts, but the good part is they are a crazy great bunch of flawed and normal people who will tell you that they can accept their own frail humanity and not look to a higher person to save them. Being an atheist doesn’t mean you have joined a cult, or religion, there is no bible and no rules. There is only the lack of belief in a god, and beyond that, you are on your own. Everyone is their own person. There is no rule book.

So welcome to being Atheist.

Why Bad People hurt good people so deeply!

I have spent literally years of my life wondering how it can be that some people get hurt over and over. I have scanned the data, read the science, and yet, I as a person fall for the trick over and over, but why? I have this horrible thing called optimism. Well, only part of it is horrible. Some parts of it have made me stronger than I could ever imagine. I just want to be of help to other people, so I am writing this, and also as a reminder for myself.

I give people chances, because I want love, but I am not a fool. I can usually pick out the ass in the room and walk away from them, but sometimes people are very good at hiding just how bad they are for you. How can you tell when they are?

• Everything is your fault, or worse they accept blame like you are victimizing them.

We are all wrong sometimes, looking back at my life I have been wrong a lot, and often, and it has cost me many important things, but no one was teaching me, so it was simple to make bad decisions, they were the only ones I could.

• They criticize you, first in small ways, and as time goes on it gets worse, until you feel like giving up.

Don’t give up, get out. If you have close friends, and I hope you do, they won’t try to hurt you with the truth, they will kindly guide you to it, or let you make your own mistake, because you are an adult. You don’t need parented, and anyone who acts like that is taking on a disturbing role. A mate should act like a mate, they should want to help you, care for you, and see you reach your goals with gladness. Your goals might be silly, or strange, or just insane, but hey some really insane people did some really great things, so who the hell is this person to discourage you from any of your goals.

• You are easy replaced.

That’s not just a threat, it is an actuality. Now let me explain,there are two and maybe more spectrums to this. One is you were never valued, the other is that there are actually healthy people in the world who could replace this ass hat and not spend time abusing you. The abusive person, however will replace you in the blink of an eye, why, because there is always someone they can manipulate, just be glad it is not you and move on. This is actually the hard part and the reason you are going to need a dose of love from some good friends. By the time you realize what they have done, they have sucked your time and probably some life out of you.

• Good people want to be helpful

Here is the saddest part, you probably don’t know the difference between a person in need and a greedy life sucking monster. The greedy life sucking monster just keeps needing, and the need hole is never filled. The person in need is different, because they will be glad when you help them, remember your help and in the future be kind enough to return the favor.

Let me share a story with you. In a recent relationship the need monster was all about themselves, they didn’t want me to travel, or have so many projects. My plans and goals had to come second to their plans and goals. I needed to focus more on them and their family and give up the things which mattered the most to them. , and most of all I was going to be a future burden to them if I wasn’t earning money so that they didn’t have to be responsible for my things.

Let a lesson here be, that if a person is trying their hardest to pretend they are moving the stars and earth to be with you, and that you are their everything, and that everything they do now and forever is for you, they are trying to fool you. They are dangerous, get away from them, and do it quickly before they vampire the life right out of you.

Why are atheists falling all over the revamped vapire pope?

It might be a new Millenium but there is nothing new about religion. Nothing, in fact if you look at the current, and hideous state of America, you will notice how nothing at all has changed about the minds, the doctrines, and the behavior of religious people. The book hasn’t changed, and neither has the dogmatic nature of religion, so why are even atheists falling for this rebranded pope of the poor.

He came in saying all the right things, and for some people they felt mighty good. He touched them in all the right places, unlike priests and altar boys. He told them he was for the poor, and men should listen to women, and it went down smooth. In fact, so smooth the Vatican was terrified, because really, no one but him was spelling those things out. If you read the catholic bible, all you will see is how men should be the boss of women, and how women should suffer for the crime of innocence.

But nothing he has said has made it into cardinal law, nothing he has claimed has changed a thing for women in oppressed areas of the world, and then comes his further talking. Homosexuals, are apparently, messing with gods plan, and hitting kids is okay, and ridicule of religion should expect a punch. For a peace loving man, he sure loves to make sure everyone still knows their place.

The worst part, is how atheists are eating it up. Atheists, the people who abstain from believing in anything without evidence, are buying the pope without evidence for change. Nothing has come out of it. Not one catholic republican has altered his world view because the pope said these feel good thing. Not one church has told men to listen to women, and not one bit of the laws that republicans are trying to pass to hurt and suppress women has been removed because pope feel good has spewed a few tingly words.

So suddenly you have a group of would be thinkers, running on emotion and warmed hearts towards the pope which was the intent of the church all along. After all, even atheists can go to heaven if they are good, says the feel good pope, who doesn’t care that you don’t believe in his god, because apparently his faith in his imaginary friends is stronger than your disbelief.

Sometimes I just wonder why we are atheists if religious people can just convince us , like they do each other, that their words mean anything at all. These are the same people who use the terms “god bless you” to belittle and insult people as well as lift them up. Atheists might want to be the people who consider their thinking rationale in this situation, because the feel good words should be for those who don’t think, and the actions should be for those who do.

It’s most disturbing because then religious people think their values are fine, and even right. Their form of morality is, at times,  horrific, and disturbing, and the idea of giving them fuel for the fire, frightens me. What we don’t need is more of the religious right in this country, and to support a pedophile organization which defends the oppression of women, the abuse of children, and while it preaches to give to the poor, continues to take and make millions in revenue. So while the pope can spew all the feel good words he wants, it wont make a difference to the reality so many people are facing. When it comes to atheists, we need to consider what those feel good words do to real human beings.
